At present, the desert photovoltaic industry has become the third new way to prevent and control sand after afforestation and sand control and sand barrier suppression. “In the past, sand control had only input but no output. Now, in the development of industrial integration, photovoltaic enterprises are introduced to control sand. Although China's desert photovoltaics have broad prospects for the future development, the harsh natural environment in China's desertified areas poses challenges to photovoltaic equipment, especially the impact of sandstorms on the operation and maintenance of power plants and the comprehensive power generation benefits of the project. If it is not cleaned in time, the power loss caused by dust may be as high as 30%-40%, which will become the key direction of technical research.
